Mr. Jens Kjargaard was born in 1957 in the City of Silkeborg, Denmark to Mrs. Karen and Mr. Torben Kjargaard, as a middle child with two sisters, he always knew the honors were on him to make something of himself as a leader. At the young age of twenty-two (22) after graduating from University with honors, Jens was posted briefly to the Faroe Islands where he worked for 13months and later opted to leave the country and the continent altogether being posted in Africa, specifically in Somalia from summer of 1982, where he worked in Construction helping build the Country through infrastructure.
Unfortunately, Jens was attacked by local bandits in his then home, after moving to Tanzania while with his wife, son, and daughter then aged 5 and 4years respectively, and almost lost his wrists. His love for Africa never wavered and he is now even more determined to bring and sustain positive change within the continent He was lucky to have been flown into Kenya where he received treatment before coming back home to Denmark to recover. Through the years despite his ordeal, Mr. Kjargaard has been very passionate about developing Africa and the world at large. You can read more about his educational and employment journey on LinkedIn on this link; He had the idea to create opportunities to develop through philanthropy the world around him, keeping to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals by building up funds as grants that are non-repayable to nations and development projects across the globe.
For him to do this, he had to research financial processes that would help him achieve his intended dream and in comes his good friend and almost like a son to him through the years; Mr. Jan Williamsburg.
